Santa Claus

I found this quilt yesterday....actually, it was never lost!! But sometimes the large ones are so much trouble to take pictures of, I just stick them back. This is when I wish I had a professional photographer to come in and 'just do it'. Each Santa depicts his different loves of life....All are needle turn hand applique and it is custom quilted. And it's big at 66" x 92".

Santa provides for the Cardinals.....

And the butterflies and bees....

In the flower garden....

The delicious red apples are ready for harvesting...
Santa says yum yum....

He just dug these Calla Lily bulbs to share with all of us....

Am I thinking of Christmas in July??

  1. Really nice quilt, Marty. It is so unusual. I don't think I have ever seen a pattern like that! How long ago did you make this one? And "needleturn"... I AM IMPRESSED!

  2. Thanks, Kat....this was a 2005 project. Wasn't tooooo bad to do since all the Santa smocks were pretty large pieces. Now, the mustache, another story!!
