Research and Rewards

Sometimes it's boring, sometimes it just gives me a pain in the neck...literally.
But, every now and then it's fun and rewarding just to sit at the computer and enter search words and see what's out there. Case in point...I found a fun little site yesterday and have even created my own little wordle - YES - I said Wordle. Just go there and punch the create button and start typing. No, you don't have to get published, but you can. I think I can use this to create a fun business description for my new little picture book about my work. Every now and then someone on the street will stop me and comment about the purse I may have under my arm or over my shoulder. And all I can say is "thanks...I made it." End of conversation. Not very smart on my part. I've been blubbering about not knowing how to market. But even a dummy should know that a picture book of all my bags with prices and a readily available business card would certainly be a start!!!!

So there you go...that gives me two projects for today and it's still very early at my house.

In the meantime...here's a neat bag I started yesterday. It's still a work in progress but has great promise at being my most favorite ever. This one will certainly be front and center in my yet to be made picture book.

And here's another one I finished this week.


A photo of one of my art quilts was the inspiration to paint this sunflower on fabric and then stitch right out there on this spring and on into summer bag. I'm just learning about watercolor on paper and fabric. Did some note cards too but I'll have to post about all that later.


Now, I must sign off. I hear the sewing machine calling my name. Or is it the paint brush? Oh my, so much to do, so little time...Happy Friday
